Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training 25 Hrs.

This 25 hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training explores yoga during the childbearing year in a framework of inclusivity and acknowledges birth as a transformational life threshold. This training is for anyone looking to learn not only how to teach yoga to pregnant bodies, but those wanting to explore their views about pregnancy and birth, learn tools to support an embodied birth experience and much more! This training seeks to inspire continued education on topics related to pregnancy, birth and postpartum and aims to illuminate the complexity, sacredness, and strength of the childbearing body. 


This training is facilitated by Clara Johnson, who is a childbirth educator, seasoned birth doula, yoga teacher, and mother of two young boys. Clara has been working within the birth world in various capacities for over a decade and is passionate about supporting pregnant bodies in unveiling their inner knowing and power to birth and transform into parenthood. 


Curriculum includes

  • The benefits of yoga during pregnancy
  • Asana - appropriate postures, modifications, contraindications
  • Asanas for specific pregnancy conditions
  • Pranayama for pregnancy and birth
  • Meditation & Mantra for pregnancy and birth
  • Physiological and anatomical changes during pregnancy
  • The physiology of childbirth
  • High risk pregnancy conditions
  • History of birthing practices 
  • The seat of the teacher  
  • Teaching methodology - language, voice, and touch
  • Class themes and sequencing 


Upon completion, participants will be awarded a certificate as a Prenatal Yoga Teacher at the 25 hour level.

This training counts towards Yoga Alliance continuing education credits.


You do not need to have a 200 hour yoga credential to participate! This training is for anyone inspired to learn about conscious pregnancy and birth from a holistic perspective.

Public Prenatal Yoga Classes

Prenatal Yoga is a beautiful way to strengthen the body, mind, and spirit in preparation for birth and beyond. Each practice is intelligently designed to stretch & strengthen the body with specific considerations to how the body is changing during this sacred time. Your practice will include not only physical movements, but breath work and meditation all of which adapted to each phase of pregnancy. Expect to feel nourished and to come away with new knowledge that can help inform your pregnancy, birth and Motherhood journey!
